Sissel's Soulful Seoul [17-23 October 2026]

Created by

Sissel

7 days / 6 nights
Language: English & Korean
1 stop

This isn't a trip about checking off landmarks. It's about discovering Seoul the way Sissel did: one neighborhood at a time, slowly, with eyes wide open to the quiet magic hiding in everyday corners.

Each day, we sink into a different district, meeting the people who make these places pulse, learning from local artisans, and finding beauty in both the ancient and the unexpected.

The final two days, we leave the city behind for a temple nestled in autumn foliage, where stillness and ritual offer a different kind of Korean experience, one rooted in contemplation and the rhythms that have shaped this culture for centuries.

[What makes this trip special]

❶ Curated by Sissel, Soulfully
Sissel spent seven years falling in love with Seoul's neighborhoods, their textures, rhythms, hidden workshops, and best-kept cafés. This trip is her way of introducing you to the Seoul that became home, not the one you'd find in a guidebook.

❷ Everything you came to Korea for, in one week
K-beauty workshops, Korean BBQ nights, Noraebang, café hopping, shopping in Seongsu, hiking with city views, cycling along the Han River, traditional craft workshops. If it's on your Korea bucket list, it's in this itinerary.

❸ Temple stay in peak autumn foliage
Two days outside Seoul in a temple surrounded by red and yellow forests. A chance to slow down completely, walk mountain trails, experience monastic rhythms, and soak in Korea's most beautiful season away from the city.

[This trip is perfect for]

- Anyone looking for an intimate girl's trip
- Drawn to craft, culture, and quiet moments of beauty
- Who'd rather spend an afternoon in one perfect neighborhood than checking boxes

- Seeking a balance of tradition and contemporary Seoul

- Ready to experience Korea beyond the Instagram highlights

[Trip highlights]

- Live in a traditional hanok in the heart of Seoul
- Learn traditional crafts from local artisans: norigae ornament-making and ceramic throwing
- Korean BBQ the way it's meant to be eaten, followed by a night out in neon-lit Euljiro
- Explore Seoul by district: Seochon's winding alleys, Mapo's creative energy, Seongsu's industrial-chic cafés, Yongsan's riverside calm
- K-beauty workshop with Korean beauty brands
- Temple stay in autumn foliage: two days of meditation, mountain walks, and monastic ritual
- Guided by Sissel: a host who knows these streets and the people who make them come alive

Sissel is a content creator who gently documents the pursuit of happiness in everyday life — from the quiet magic of slow mornings to the small, meaningful shifts that bring a sense of balance and joy. Her work is rooted in a desire to live with intention, always seeking peace in the present moment.

This group trip is a chance to share a piece of that peace — to come together, slow down, and create memories in a place that feels like an exhale.

Sissel's Soulful Seoul

Day 1

Welcome to Seoul

Meet at our hanok in the early evening. Settle into your rooms and share our first meal together. Tonight is about meeting each other and easing into the rhythm of the week ahead.

Day 2

Seochon Day

Morning starts at one of Seoul's grand palaces. Head to Insadong in the afternoon to learn norigae-making (traditional Korean ornaments) with a local artisan. Evening unfolds in Seochon's cozy alleyways over dinner at one of the neighborhood's best-kept secrets.

Day 3

Mapo Day

Hike Inwangsan in the morning. A gentle climb with sweeping city views and old stone walls along the trail. After coming down, explore Yeonhee-dong and Mangwon-dong, two of Mapo's most creative pockets, before getting hands dirty in a ceramic workshop. Finally, a proper Korean BBQ night in Mapo.

Day 4

Seongsu Day

Slow walk starting from Seoul Forest into Seongsu's converted factory spaces turned cafés and boutiques. Take a break to sip the best chai tea latte, shop at spots Sissel has loved for years. Spend the afternoon in a beauty workshop with K-beauty brands. Dinner followed by Noraebang, because you can't leave Korea without karaoke.

Day 5

Yongsan Day

Wake up for a Yoga to flow in the day, then explore Hannam and HBC, Yongsan's coolest corner where international culture meets local. Cycle down to the Han River in the late afternoon sun. Picnicking as the sun sets over the water at Nodeulsum, then enjoy the Finale dinner.

Day 6

Heading to the Temple

Check out of the hanok and take a short drive to a temple outside Seoul. The temple sits surrounded by forest in red and yellow foliage. After arriving and settling in, an introduction to temple rhythms and rituals. Sleep on traditional yo mats with nothing but nature outside and the people around you.

Day 7

Temple Morning & Goodbye

Wake with the birds chirping in the forest, followed by a simple temple breakfast. Enjoy the last quiet moments in the temple before heading back to Seoul. Going back already feels like going home. Say your goodbyes, until we meet again.
